California Oak (Mead) by Golden Coast Meads
Honey, Water, Yeast. Arguably the first form of alcohol and still going strong today. Relatively new to the San Diego Craft Beer scene, these sweet and high octane brews are beginning to really make their mark with not only beer and cider drinkers but also wine drinkers and Frank over at Golden Coast is leading the way.
California Oak was the first mead they produced and is lightly carbonated and packed full with locally sourced honey and fresh mountain spring water. Be careful, this addictive elixir hides it’s huge 10.5% abv exceedingly well.
