Since you asked (hahaha) here’s a few minor (and some not so minor) changes I’d like to see that would, IMO be quality of life changes to the game

I understand that not all of these suggestions will please everyone and I also realize that everyone plays the game with different goals but these are just day to day ideas across all aspects of game play that have popped in my head over my 5 year journey with Pokemon Go - in no particular order (well except #1)

1. Obviously #1 for me is to revert back to the 40 meter range for SO MANY reasons
2. Friendly Gyms should serve more purpose - perhaps healing pokemon without revives, maybe some some kind of limit like once a day or a certain number of “free” revives - this would encourage trainers not even in the gym to help hold it for the Team 3. Some kind of function for the gazillion candies we now have, especially for older gen pokemon
4. Pokestops or gyms could convert to Pokecenters randomly where any number of activities such as trading, healing, training etc could be performed for a short period of time - the list of activities is literally endless!
5. Give some kind of reward for unused Premier Balls - this could be berries, revives or even gold coins per ball, personally I’d like to see them added to my bag to use in game - this could incentivize buying raid passes
6. I know REVERSAL is with me on this one, Gold Gym Badges - Niantic have consistently ignored the efforts of gym battlers and defenders - even in the L50 grind there was virtually no gym based challenges or recognition
7. I’ve always felt it would be cool to see on the map a dot or something signifying there was another trainer nearby… this could be team driven, red, blue and yellow dots - it would encourage interaction with trainers you might not even know are playing and they are just across the street
8. Give the option at pokestops to collect specific items - spin clockwise for balls and berries, anti-clockwise for revives and gifts (this would also discourage the use of Go Plus just like the excellent throw bonus does on catching)
9. Once a trainer is GOLD at a Gym their interaction should be limited to just spinning and raiding to allow other trainers some time at the gym - too many times the same group dominate a gym every single day - in most cases this turns out to be one player with multiple accounts who can reach the gym from their couch. This alienates their own team members from battling, earning coins, gaining gym time or achieving Gold at that gym and also is the main cause of community bitterness from opposing team players when the “couch surfer” instantly kicks them out simply because it takes no effort to battle a gym while sitting on their couch
10. BAN SPOOFERS - any achievements legit players have are nullified by how easy it is for spoofers to do the same. I don’t think Niantic have ever been serious about this. We all know who the spoofers are in our communities and action should be direct, immediate and permanent (the fact that they spend money shouldn’t be a reason Niantic continues to allow the credibility of the game and achievements of legit players to be compromised)
11. Give some kind of certainty (based on higher effort/interaction to hatch) to what hatches from an egg (since inception I have considered incubators the biggest rip off in the game so have refused to buy incubators just to hatch 9 absols back to back
12. Buddies could gain CP/IV increases as they explore with you - especially once they are Best Buddies
13. Stop the over saturation of shiny’s - seriously what is achieved by allowing trainers to catch 10, 20, 50 on CD
14. Some kind of function for male and female… some people obsess about having male and female but why? Give us some kind of breeding feature
15. I get the mechanics behind spawn points but there are way too many dead zones even in large cities - sitting on a pier or park bench with dozens of spawns all day long hardly ENCOURAGES EXPLORATION - if you want people to walk/explore give them a reason to leave the “sweet spot” and move on
16. Spend some time to fix the basic day to day glitches - IT’S BEEN FIVE YEARS ALREADY!
17. Remove remote passes - I know this will be very unpopular BUT I really miss groups gathering at lunch times or after work/school - now they just go straight home and sit on their couch and just wait for invites - TALK ABOUT DISCOURAGING EXPLORATION
18. Lures should have a visible timer - if players know a lure has 25 minutes left they might be inclined to stop and play and interact with other trainers they might not normally have met - this could also be used to incentivize “sponsored locations”
19. A Team Rocket stops could randomly have more than just 3 grunts - we still only have 3 battlers but we don’t know going in how many grunts we will have to defeat - greater rewards for the more grunts you have to battle
20. Item trades - I’d like to be able to help some one who was desperately short of revives and trade them for berries or other basic items. Maybe this could only be done at pokecenters or friendly gyms but would be a game changer for some trainers
21. Gym defending should be more than just tossing golden razz… Since Niantic seem so determined to push PVP on people why not make it a feature of defending a gym - If a defender is aware their gym is under attack then some kind of PVP could be initiated with the attacker - if the defender wins then a cool down is initiated before the gym can be attacked again, if the attacker wins the PVP encounter, then he can continue to take the gym down with a more significant cool down initiated to prevent immediate take back
22. Refreshing the game shouldn’t cause a restart - I can (and have to way to many times) just restart the game but surely the concept of a refresh is that its done in game without a restart
23. A “ready to battle” button in Battle lobbies to stop the countdown and go straight in to battle
24. While I understand the importance (and Niantic focus) of game aesthetics, I think player engagement and retention would increase vastly if more focus was placed on game stability
25. Finally, and some thing we can all agree on… just to have Niantic actually listen to the players… truly in any other business, certainly a restaurant like I run would have closed so long ago - its really sad and frustrating that they have so little regard for customer input I know there are a lot of points but you did ask… and if you are “our voice” to Niantic, I hope you see this post and gain some valuable suggestions from it -Good Luck!
